Who We Are
-
Mental Training for Performance
AthleMind is designed for competitive environments.
We focus on confidence calibration, focus regulation, motivation patterns, pressure responses and self talk dynamics.
We do not replace clinical support. We support performance awareness.
Daily Structured Reflection
Elite development is built on repetition.
AthleMind integrates short structured reflections into daily routines before training, after competition, during recovery or in moments of pressure.
Consistency creates insight.
AthleMind identifies patterns in how athletes describe training, competition and setbacks. Over time, trends in confidence, stress and motivation become visible.
Designed for Autonomy
Resilient performers develop internal awareness.
AthleMind does not tell athletes what to think.
It helps them understand how they think and how that evolves across seasons.
Built for Athletes and Practitioners
AthleMind can be used independently or integrated into coaching and sport psychology workflows.
It supports structured development without replacing human expertise.
-
Performance First
We believe mental skills are part of performance, not separate from it.
Focus, confidence, emotional control and resilience are trainable capacities. They deserve the same structure and consistency as strength or conditioning.
AthleMind exists to integrate psychological development into everyday training environments.
Evidence Before Opinion
Our foundations are grounded in established sport and performance psychology research.
We draw on validated theories of self efficacy, motivation, attentional control and stress regulation to design tools that are structured, measurable and repeatable.
Mental training should be rigorous, not vague.
Honest Reflection
High performers do not need to be treated as fragile.
They need environments where they can reflect honestly without judgement or ego threat.
AthleMind creates space for self awareness while maintaining a performance standard.
Access Without Barriers
Traditional one to one sport psychology is valuable but often inaccessible due to cost, time or availability.
AthleMind lowers that barrier.
Structured mental development should not be limited to elite athletes or institutional support systems.
Long Term Development
We are not built for short term motivation spikes.
We are built for pattern recognition over time.
Mental performance develops through repeated moments of awareness, not single breakthroughs.

I’ve always known performance was mental….
You often hear from the greats with the likes of Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods mention that the mind decides the margins, yet mental training remains the part we leave to chance. While studying Sport and Exercise Psychology at Newcastle University and working alongside athletes and coaches, I kept seeing the same pattern across teams: demand was high, access was low, and too many decisive moments fell between sessions.
And yet sport psychology is still out of reach for most athletes. Too expensive (often £60 an hour). Too slow. People say the mind is 80 percent of performance, but we only train the other 20 percent. The research is clear: mental coaching can improve confidence, focus, and emotional control. The deeper I went into the field, the more I saw how inaccessible that power can be. Outside elite sport, even highly qualified psychologists struggled to reach the people who needed them most. It did not make sense. Athletes were hungry for support. Psychologists wanted to help. The system did not connect the two.
AthleMind exists to close that gap. Our aim is simple: make credible mental training easy to start, easy to stick with, and measurable across a season. We focus on principles that hold under pressure, with methods grounded in peer reviewed sport psychology and shaped with practitioner input. Language stays clear and specific so athletes can turn insight into action, and coaches can reinforce it across the year.
AthleMind supports performance. It is not a clinical service. When screening suggests risk or deeper needs, we signpost to qualified professionals, because good performance care respects boundaries. That is why I created AthleMind: to offer the support I wish I had. Real mental support, available when you need it, built for people who want to reach their absolute potential.
Because if sport is 80% mental, we should all be training for it.
And now, with AthleMind, we can.
